What do you need to be considered a resident of Hawaii?

The answer depends on the purpose for which you wish to qualify as a resident. In the eyes of the state, it takes very little to be considered a resident (to vote, for example). But the residency requirements for other institutions are often more strict (such as to qualify for in-state tuition at the University of Hawaii).
